Here's how we think about ethics, privacy, sourcing and review — the parts of a health site you can't see on the surface.
We describe, we don't diagnose. Every calculator and guide on this site presents general educational information. None of it is designed to identify, diagnose or rule out a medical condition in an individual.
We avoid alarming language. Results are framed as reference points, never as warnings, and we're careful not to imply certainty that a single number can't provide.
We point toward professional care, not away from it. Where a topic could reasonably involve a clinician, we say so directly instead of offering a substitute.
We present ranges and context rather than pass/fail verdicts.
Content speaks in general population terms, never about "you specifically."
When in doubt, our copy defaults to recommending professional guidance.
Every calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your height, weight or heart rate never has to leave your device to produce a result.
We don't store calculator inputs or outputs on our servers as part of normal site operation.
Information you submit through the contact form is used only to respond to your message.
Evidence-informed methodology
Research • Review • Revisit
Every guide and calculator on HealthPulse goes through an internal review pass focused specifically on scope and wording, in addition to normal editing.
Scope check — confirms the content stays educational and doesn't drift into diagnosis or treatment advice.
Reference check — figures are compared against commonly published population reference ranges.
Disclaimer check — confirms appropriate caveats appear next to any result or recommendation.
